DUTY ENGINEER

Mandarin
Oriental, Lago di Como’s Duty Engineer is in charge of the Resort’s preventive
and remedial maintenance.

Duties
and responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the plumbing
    system

  • Maintenance of the electrical system

  • Maintenance of the air-conditioning system

  • Maintenance of the fire protection system

  • Maintenance of the Pool and thermal areas

  • Maintenance of the Building Management
    Systems (BMS)

  • Construction, painting
    and carpentry work

  • Support in the events’
    setting up

  • Comply with all health
    and safety regulations


Requirements:


  • Plumbing and electrical skills


  • Previous experience in the hospitality or retail industry

  • Able to promptly report damages and/or
    malfunctionings

  • Able to adequately give
    assistance to external companies

  • Be
    proactive and reactive with regards to damages and emergencies

  • Diagnosis and resolution skills

  • Teamwork skills


  • Basic IT knowledge

  • Be
    precise and punctual

  • Able to work
    with flexible schedules and hours (at night, on weekends and festivities)

  • Valid Driving License


  • English knowledge will be considered a plus
