About the job

Based
at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona within the Engineering Department,
the Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive
and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure that all hotel facilities, equipment,
and technical systems operate efficiently and safely.

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Chief Engineer / Engineering
Supervisor
.

As Maintenance Technician, you will
be responsible for:

  • Performing preventive and corrective
    maintenance tasks across hotel facilities.
  • Diagnosing and resolving
    issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry,
    and masonry
    .
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure the proper
    condition and functionality of equipment and installations.
  • Responding
    promptly to maintenance requests and incidents reported by different hotel
    departments.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with external contractors
    and service providers when required.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date
    maintenance records using established management systems.
  • Ensuring full
    compliance with health & safety, environmental, and operational
    regulations
    .
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and optimal
    condition of technical areas, workshops, and storage spaces.
  • Supporting
    continuous improvement initiatives related to hotel facilities
    and equipment.

As Maintenance Technician, we expect
from you:

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills across
    multiple disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
  • Previous
    experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role (minimum 2 years
    preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance management systems.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced
    environment.
  • High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention
    to detail.
  • Flexibility and availability to work shifts if
    required.
  • Good communication skills and service-oriented mindset.

  • Basic English language skills.
