Front Office Overseas Intern

40 hours, 5 days per week

Duration of internship: 6-12 months

the Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing the Front Office
Overseas Intern will support the hotel’s Front Office team in delivering
exceptional guest service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role plays
a key part in creating memorable first impressions, assisting with guest
requests, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. The intern
reports to the Front Office Manager and works closely with the Reception,
Concierge, and Guest Relations teams.

As Front Office Intern, you
will be responsible for the following duties:

Guest Service
Support

  • Assist in welcoming guests and providing
    check-in/check-out support.
  • Help handle guest inquiries and direct
    them to appropriate services.
  • Support concierge services including
    transportation arrangements and local recommendations.

Operations & Administration

  • Record and update guest
    information in the property management system.
  • Assist in preparing
    daily reports and handovers for Front Office staff.
  • Support scheduling
    and documentation for Front Office trainees.

Communication &
Coordination

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure guest
    requests are fulfilled promptly.
  • Assist in preparing guest amenities
    and special arrangements.
  • Support communication flow between Front
    Office and Housekeeping for room readiness.

Event & Special
Projects

  • Assist in preparing logistics for VIP arrivals, group
    check-ins, or special events.

Additional
Responsibilities

  • Perform other tasks as required to support
    the Front Office department.

What We Expect from You


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality Management
    or related field.
  • Strong interest in guest service and hotel
    operations.
  • Good command of English and strong interpersonal
    skills.
  • Professional, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work
    collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
