the job
The Room Division Manager is responsible for
the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of the Rooms
Division, including Front Office, Guest Experience, Concierge, Housekeeping.
The role ensures exceptional guest satisfaction, operational excellence, revenue
optimization, talent development, and financial performance while maintaining
Mandarin Oriental's Legendary Quality Experiences (LQE) and service
standards.
The Rooms Division Manager serves as a key member of
the hotel's leadership team, driving collaboration across departments
and contributing to the achievement of hotel business
objectives.
As Room Division Manager, you will
be responsible for the following duties:
- Lead and develop
the Rooms Division team through recruitment, training, coaching, and performance
management. - Foster a culture of excellence based on accountability,
collaboration, inclusion, and Mandarin Oriental values. - Ensure
an exceptional guest experience throughout the entire guest journey,
from arrival to departure. - Drive service quality by implementing LQE
standards, monitoring guest feedback, and leading continuous improvement
initiatives. - Oversee all Rooms Division operations, including Front
Office, Concierge, Housekeeping. - Optimize operational efficiency
and productivity through effective workforce planning, procedures, service
standards, and regulatory compliance. - Enhance financial performance
by maximizing room revenue through occupancy growth, upselling, and revenue
management strategies. - Control costs and manage budgets to achieve
profitability and operational targets. - Monitor and analyse key
performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial results, guest satisfaction,
team productivity, and operational effectiveness. - Contribute to
the hotel's overall strategy by participating in executive committee decisions,
transformation projects, renovations, process improvements, and risk/compliance
management.
As Room Division Manager,
we expect from you:
- Minimum 8–10 years of luxury hotel
operations experience. - Minimum 3–5 years in a senior Rooms Division
leadership position. - Strong understanding of Front Office,
Housekeeping, Guest Experience, Concierge, and Spa operations.
