our Housekeeping team.

About
the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Boston within
the Housekeeping Department in Boston, Massachusetts, the Room Attendant
is responsible the overall cleanliness of all guestrooms and public areas
that they are assigned.

The Room Attendant reports to
the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeping Manager and receives
direction from the Housekeeping Supervisors.

As On-Call
Room Attendant you will be responsible for the following
duties:

  • Ensure guestrooms and hotel areas are cleaned
    and maintained according to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group standards
    and guidelines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Remove
      all soiled linens, towels, and trash from room and appropriately store
      or dispose of in the back of house
    • Thoroughly clean guest bathrooms
      using approved cleaning products
    • Organize and arrange guest amenities
      and personal items according to brand standards
    • Replenish amenities
      towels, and linens, as needed
    • Efficiently make beds to meet appearance
      standards
    • Clean windows and mirrors
    • Vacuum carpet and dust
      furniture, surfaces, vents, and baseboards
    • Report any defects in guest
      rooms and public areas, including damaged fixtures or furniture, for correction
      by the appropriate department
  • Provide exceptional service
    to all guests; greet guests and offer assistance, answer questions, and respond
    to any and all requests
  • Other duties as assigned by management

As On-Call Room Attendant, we expect from
you:

  • Minimum of one year’s experience in luxury hospitality
    in a similar role.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in
    the English language.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
    a day.
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull 30 pounds.

  • Ability to work a flexible on-call schedule to include weekends
    and holidays.

Compensation

The hourly
rate of pay for this position is $32.95.
