About
the job

Based Mandarin Oriental, Munich, the Sous Chef is responsible
for our culinary offering. The Sous Chef reports to the Executive
Chef.

As Sous Chef, you will responsible for the following
duties
:

  • Production, preparation and presentation of food with
    a particular attention to detail
  • Understanding of departmental costs
    and their impact on success
  • Motivate, train and professionally develop
    of all the kitchen staff
  • Responsibility for the department in
    the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Developing and introducing new ideas
    and innovations
  • Preparation of the necessary mise en place

  • Careful and attentive handling of the products provided
  • Support
    with the daily tasks in the patisserie

As Sous Chef,
we expect from you:

  • Completed training as a chef
    or confectioner
  • experience in a similar position
  • A passion
    for the craft, with creativity, teamwork and flexibility
  • Strong kitchen
    organization experience
  • a charming and convincing demeanour

  • language skills in German or English
