About the job
Based at the Mandarin
Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Revenue Department in Kuala Lumpur,
the Revenue Manager supports the development, implementation and communication
of pricing, inventory, restriction and revenue strategies across relevant
business segments.
The Revenue Manager reports to the Director of Revenue Strategy / Director
of Commercial Strategy.
As Revenue Manager, you will
be responsible for the following duties:
Manage inventory
for the hotel to maximise revenue in all areas.
Execute pricing
and restriction changes and manage rate and inventory availability.
Regularly check distribution channels to ensure hotel positioning,
information accuracy and competitor positioning are properly
maintained.
Effectively use revenue management systems
and approved tools to determine, implement, manage and control accurate
and agreed revenue management strategies.
Assist in setting
and communicating the hotel pricing strategy by market segment, with reference
to market intelligence, buying patterns and pre-determined seasonality.
Provide data to the team for analysis and evaluation of business
segments, accounts, market segment mix, room type demand, channel production
and geographical mix, recognising trends and patterns.
Actively
participate in the design of new packages to ensure fences and restrictions
are effectively reflected.
As Revenue Manager,
we expect from you:
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality
Management/ Finance/ Revenue
Minimum 5 years of hotel
experience
Experience in HMS/Delphi/IDeaS set-up
or configuration: Rate Code, Packages, Room Type
Experience
in Rate Loading and Channel Management
Experience
in Forecasting
