Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Administration • Keep a file of reference materials
related to the design of all hotel publications and promotional materials, both
local and overseas • Prepare layout of all hotel publications well ahead
of schedule for preparation to Director of Communication • Handles all photo
taking for banquet functions and for special events for PR coverage • Update
photos of hotel facilities and services • Develop black & white photos
for press releases if laboratory is available • Control films/slides both black
& white and colour • Control PR photo files • Capable of conceptualizing
and developing graphics • Experience on PC graphics software • Appreciate
consistency of graphic style and typography • Have at least a working knowledge
of and be able to type accurately in English as well as be aware of editorial
style • Conscientious, reliable and self-motivated and be able to fulfil demands
with minimal supervision Training and Human Resources • Ensure close working
relation not only within the Communications department but also within all
departments that would need art service • Ensure wherever possible
that employees are provided with a work place free of discrimination, harassment
and victimisation. • Treat complaints of harassment and discrimination promptly
and confidentially. • Treat customers and colleagues from all cultural groups
with respect and sensitivity. • Identify and deal with issues which may cause
cross cultural conflict or misunderstanding. Technical Responsibilities • Design
and execute visual of artwork for approval of Director of Communication. •
Execute final artwork • Handle all basic photography work required in the hotel
• To update designs for all hotel publications, promotional materials, and art
requirements External • The Graphic artist maintains close contact and rapport
with local media Miscellaneous • The Graphic artist must coordinate with other
departments to ensure the smooth running operation of the job functions •
The Graphic Artist may be called upon to undertake other responsibilities
in accordance to the requirements of the management. • He/she may be called upon
to assist on special mission or replacement in commercial or administrative
department of the hotel. • All staff are required to comply with every
reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount
of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances. • All staff may
be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required by business
levels. OTHERS • Continuous learning through own IDP. • Any other duties as

during or after employment with the company. JOB REQUIREMENT • College degree
in graphic design or a related field • Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator,
Photoshop, Word and PowerPoint • Experience with video production and working
knowledge of After Effects, and Premiere • Ability to take creative direction
and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced deadline
oriented environment • Ability to work within established branding guidelines
and understand the importance of maintaining brand standards • Ability
to prepare electronic files for print • Hands on experience creating internal
newsletter, corporate email and print material
