Responsible
for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all
team members, guests, contractors, and visitors. The Safety Officer ensures
compliance with applicable occupational safety and health requirements,
identifies workplace risks, and supports the hotel in implementing effective
safety and emergency prevention measures.
Key
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety inspections
across hotel areas, back-of-house facilities, staff accommodation,
and operational areas. - Identify potential hazards
and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive
actions. - Conduct risk assessments for workplace activities
and support departments in implementing risk control
measures. - Monitor compliance with company safety policies,
procedures, and applicable occupational safety and health
regulations. - Investigate workplace accidents, incidents,
near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare relevant reports
and recommendations. - Coordinate and support emergency
preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation exercises,
and emergency response procedures. - Coordinate safety
training and awareness programs for team members, including fire safety,
emergency response, PPE, chemical handling, and workplace
safety. - Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment. - Maintain safety
records, inspection reports, accident/incident reports, training records,
and other required documentation. - Work closely
with Engineering, Security, HR, Operations, and department leaders to identify
and resolve safety concerns. - Support contractor
and external service provider safety requirements when working on hotel
premises. - Participate in safety committee meetings
and follow up on agreed safety improvement actions. - Promote
a strong safety culture and encourage team members to report hazards, unsafe
practices, and near misses. - Perform other duties
and responsibilities as assigned
by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or
a related field. - Certified or qualified as a Safety Officer
in accordance with applicable Thai regulations. - Previous
experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a hotel, resort,
hospitality, or service environment. - Good knowledge
of workplace safety, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and accident
prevention. - Good communication and interpersonal skills
with the ability to work effectively with team members at all
levels. - Good problem-solving and analytical
skills. - Ability to conduct safety inspections, prepare
reports, and follow up on corrective actions. - Good command
of English is an advantage. - Proficient in Microsoft Office
and basic reporting/documentation.
