Chief Engineer - Aman Tokyo

Role

Under
the direct supervision of the Area Director of Engineering &
Security, the Chief Engineer assists in planning, organizing, directing
and controlling all aspects in Engineering and Security activities, maintaining
the established standards of working order, orderliness, attractive condition
of Guestroom Floor, Public Area, and Back of the House, and the safekeeping
of the entire property for the guests and the colleagues. Assist the Area
Director of Engineering & Security in directing and maintaining
the Engineering Department as well as the Security Department in accordance
with the policies, standards and guidelines established by the hotel or
the corporate
office.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, develops
  and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for hotel, including
  refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance,
  guestrooms, air/ heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen
  equipment, water softeners, electrical substations,
  etc.

• Maintains hotel by performing painting, plumbing, electrical
  wiring, and other related maintenance activities.

• Support
  to oversee and provide the necessary supports to the departmental safety
  trainers in the implementation of the training plan.

• Anticipates
  and plans for various emergency situations.

• Support the training
  for Emergency Response Team.

• Support to conduct regular safety
  system tests and practice fire drills with the Area Director
  of Engineering & Security; evacuation drills, bomb threats drills,
  etc.

• Responds to various emergency situations
  as appropriate.

• Support the hotel F&B hygiene controls
  and implementation of hygiene policy and procedures.

• Ensure
  adequate CCTV coverage of all critical
  areas.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years
  as a supervisory level position for Engineering / Security Department in
  the hospitality industry.

• Fluency in English and Japanese,
  with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High
  proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
  Outlook).
