Role

We
are seeking an experienced, passionate and highly motivated Assistant
Director of Food & Beverage
to join Janu Tokyo. This role is ideal for
a dynamic hospitality professional who thrives in a modern luxury environment
and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences while supporting
the strategic leadership of the Food & Beverage division.

As the Assistant Director of Food &Beverage, you will support the Director
of Food & Beverage in overseeing restaurant operations, driving operational
excellence, leading high-performing teams and ensuring the highest standards
of guest satisfaction across all Food & Beverage outlets while fostering
a culture of teamwork, professionalism and continuous improvement that reflects
the exceptional hospitality of Janu
Tokyo.


Responsibilities

  • Support
    the Director of Food & Beverage in overseeing the daily operations of all
    Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, service
    excellence and operational
    efficiency
  • Lead, manage
    and develop outlet management teams, ensuring the highest standards
    of professionalism, leadership and operational performance throughout
    the division
  • Drive operational
    consistency by developing, implementing and continuously improving departmental
    policies, service procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    in accordance with company
    standards
  • Monitor operational
    performance, guest feedback, financial results and service quality, implementing
    corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives where
    required
  • Support departmental
    budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, sales analysis, inventory
    management, labour productivity and cost control to achieve business
    objectives
  • Ensure compliance
    with all applicable food safety, hygiene, health and safety regulations as well
    as company policies and standards across all Food & Beverage
    operations
  • Oversee staffing,
    workforce planning, scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring,
    succession planning and talent development
    initiatives
  • Conduct regular
    operational inspections and audits to ensure cleanliness, presentation, product
    quality, brand standards and service consistency across all
    outlets
  • Collaborate closely
    with the kitchen team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations,
    successful promotions and exceptional guest
    experiences
  • Support strategic
    planning, new initiatives, projects and departmental administrative requirements
    while acting on behalf of the Director of Food & Beverage when
    required


Requirements

  • Minimum
    15 years of practical experience in hotels and luxury
    restaurants
  • Minimum 5 years
    of practical experience in a luxury hotel
    environment
  • Minimum 3 years
    of practical experience as a leader such
    as manager
  • Practical experience
    in multi-unit restaurant operations
    management
  • Practical experience
    in budget management, sales analysis and cost
    control
  • Basic knowledge of labour
    management and practical experience in shift
    scheduling
  • Practical experience
    in performance management, talent development
    coaching
  • Practical experience
    in creating, improving and continuously monitoring
    SOPs
  • Excellent leadership
    and communication skills
  • Advanced
    business-level English proficiency (CEFR C1
    or higher)
  • Advanced
    business-level Japanese proficiency (CEFR C1
    or higher)
  • Advanced PC skills
    including MS Office and typing
